Plumbers are responsible for building, installing and adjusting a wide range of piping systems and plumbing, heating, drinking water and wastewater treatment equipment in a mine company's facilities. They can also make changes to, clean and maintain piping systems and plumbing equipment such as drinking water, sanitary and sprinkler systems. They must read plans, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing, water supply and drainage systems. They locate and mark the position of pipe connections and pipe-routing holes.
