Metallurgical technicians help plan and implement sampling campaigns and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the company's ore treatment processes. Working with a metallurgist, they plan and supervise production operations, control the quality of the processed products, and measure the proper operation of the equipment used to crush and treat ore. They monitor the plant's daily production and constantly check the various elements in the transformation process, such as the temperature and consistency of the solutions of reagents in tanks in order to obtain the greatest possible quantity of the target metal. They may also perform laboratory tests to check the quality of the process and the plant's production, and take part in projects to improve the process. Using their observations and the results of the laboratory tests they compile, they produce follow-up reports for metallurgists.
