Alternative names : Prevention counsellor
Health and safety advisors ensure that facilities and working conditions are compliant and monitor compliance with health and safety regulations at all times, in all a mining company's facilities. Reducing accident risks and occupational diseases is a key concern, because for the mining industry worker safety is paramount. For this purpose, health and safety advisors carry out inspections and ensure that procedures, for example concerning padlocking and the use of hazardous products, are complied with at all times. When incidents occur, they conduct a verification on-site, draft a report and ensure that corrective measures are implemented. They regularly collaborate with the division providing training, in order to analyze the need for preventive training for employees.
